Dinner @ Las Vacas, Petaling Jaya

Image related lol.

I had been craving for good steak after my friend told me that there is one in town with a very reasonable price. The place is called Las Vacas, located in the housing areas of SS5 Petaling Jaya. It's a rather odd location for such a place, but eitherway it was not too hard to find. Las Vacas is really a butchery, but they also cook the meats they cut as well.

Dinner at Kitchen Creatures, Centerpoint Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya

Kitchen Creatures, a funny name for a restaurant when I first heard about it from KY, so I decided to go there and see what it's really about. Kitchen Creatures is located at Centerpoint Bandar Utama, where apparently it seems to be very popular nowadays(compared to years before).

Lunch @ Wei Yip, Aman Suria, Petaling Jaya

So I have been looking at the banner just about everyday when I drive to work stating that there's a new shop in town serving fish-head noodle. One day, my colleagues decided to have lunch there. Wei Yip is located somewhere in the middle of Aman Suria.

Lunch @ Uncle Ben's, Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur

*This is a backlogged post of 2009

During my visits to Low Yat Plaza to shop for some computer peripherals, I seldom have lunch over at the same place due to the limited choices available there. But since I was hungry, why not try something there. I walked around the LG floor and noticed the place where Sihlin Taiwan Snacks used to be has changed to Uncle Ben's; so why not give it a try then?

Char Siew @ Tian Hong, Salak South, Kuala Lumpur

Char Siew has somewhat become an obsession for me now, quite a bit that I actually drove to Salak South in order to search for some good Char Siew. I brought my friend who also particularly loves a good serving of Char Siew.
Tian Hong was one of the popular places for Char Siew according to other food bloggers(eatinout) and was also featured in The Star, so we had to give it a try anyway. Thanks to my GPS, we managed to make out way there. We arrived tad early; there wasn't any Char Siew yet D: However, things were on our side on that day; the first batch of Char Siew rolled out from the kitchen.
We had serving for two and a bowl of soup(self-service) as well as two ice-cold chinese tea. The taste was not particularly sweet and it was not too salty either, which is probably a good thing. Though however, the meat was tad hard; probably because we took the lean part which had little or no fat at all. It's not bad, but I preferred the one at Aman Suria. The soup served was a little too bland, which literally had no taste at all (which explains soy sauce and pepper on the table XP). Overall, it was good, but not excellent, particularly due to the texture of the meat.
