Yay! Cream corn soup ish a success!

On friday, I watched Dosanko Cooking on Asian Food Channel @ Astro and decided to try cooking this recipe for myself. A very simple recipe, it uses Corn, Bacon, Milk, Cornstarch and Water. Supposely the perfect soup for summer, and is soothing. Compared to the carbonara I did yesterday, this one would probably have much better success.

Scrape the corn: Use a sharp knife and scrape the corn in a saw-ing motion.

Recipe for 4: Two corns are used. Remember to scrape the inner part too with the blunt side of the knife. It is said that most nutrients are actually on the cob itself.

Bacon in water: You may opt to fry or just boil the bacon. If you fry, make sure it turns brown nicely and then you can drop it in the boiling water.

Result: After adding milk and cornstarch, a healthy serving of cream corn soup.

1. Scrape corn
2. Fry bacon till brown.
3. Pour bacon into water
4. Let the water boil.
5. Add corn.
6. Simmer again for another 10minutes.
7. Add milk.
8. Stir.
9.Add cornstarch mixed with a little bit of water.
10. Stir.
11. ???
12. Profit!

Ingredients used:

2 Corn
2 Cup water
2 Cup milk
2 slices of back bacon(20-30g)
1 Tablespoon cornstarch and a little bit of water
Pepper and salt to taste

i love corn... but dun really fancy cream corn soup =x... donno why.. prefer mushroom soup wtf xD

This one is actually really good. Not the corny corny taste. Bacon and corn complement each other(salty and sweet) to create a smooth tase :D
