[Review] Adabi Mee Goreng Instant Noodles

Just had my first packet of this Adabi mee goreng instant noodles just now, and I'll be giving you my review.

I decided to try this brand because it looked rather new and I've never seen it before. It costs rm2.50 for a pack of 5. It's label was written EXTRA SPICY.

The noodle size seems smaller than other brands though.

In comparison with Indomee, Adabi mixes their flavouring into one packet as opposed to Indomee's seperate flavourings(oil, cili, sauce and power in individual packets).

Noodle texture was okay, except it was kinda small and not round(rather flat).

I can only say that Adabi's mee goreng is freaking SALTY. It would seem that their noodle to flavouring ratio was not right(The flavouring was way too much). It didnt have the aroma that Indomee has.

Oh, and the extra spicy did nothing. My tongue couldn't taste anything else other than the heavily salted flavouring.

So how would I rate this against Indomee? Probably 1 out of 5 stars. Eating (whateverflavour) Indomee was better than Adabi's.

If you actually like salty stuff, this may be for you. But I'm staying off Adabi(though I have to finish the remaining)

Why Geeks and Nerds Are Worth It...(copypasta'd)

In the wide world of dating, there are many options. Do you go for the flashy guy with the smooth smile, or the dude in the corner typing away on his laptop? The following are reasons why I think my fellow females should pay more attention to the quiet geeks and nerds, and less attention to the flashy boys.

1.) While geeks and nerds may be awkward, they’re well-meaning 9 out of 10 times. That smooth dude with the sly grin and the spider hands? Wonder what HIS intentions are... plus, I’ve never had a geek guy not call me when he said he would. Score major points THERE.

2.) They’re useful. In this tech-savvy world, it’s great to have a b/f who can make your laptop, desktop, and just about anything else that plugs into a wall behave itself.

3.) They’re more romantic than they’re given credit for. Ok true, their idea of romance might be to make up a spiffy web-page with all the reasons why they love you, with links to pics of you and sonnets and such... but hey. It lasts longer than flowers, plus you can show your friends.

4.) Due to their neglected status, there are plenty to choose from. You like ‘em tall and slender? There are plenty of geeks/nerds who are. You like ‘em smaller with more meat on their bones? Got that too.

5.) They’ve got brains. Come on now, how can intelligence be a bad thing?

6.) Most are quite good at remembering dates. Like birthdates and such, especially if they know it’ll make you happy. Due again to their neglected status, they’re more attentive than guys who “have more options”. Plus, with all that down time without a steady girlfriend, they’ll likely have mental lists of all the things they’d love to do once they GOT a girlfriend.

7.) Sex. Yep. Sex. I’m not really familiar with this myself, but I’ve friends who’ve been intimate with geek guys and it’s raves all around. They say a virgin wrote the Kama Sutra... all that time thinking about sex, imagining sex, dreaming about sex, (they are male after all) coupled with a desire to make you happy? Use your imagination.

8.) They’re relatively low-maintenance. Most can be fueled on pizza, Twinkies and Mt Dew. No complicated dinners needed here, so if you’re not the best cook, eh. Can you order a pizza?

9.) Most frequent bars as often as slugs frequent salt mines. You won’t have to worry much about your geek guy getting his “groove” on with club hotties because, frankly, he’ll be too busy rooting around under his computer wondering where that spare cable went. You won’t have to worry about him flirting with other women because, 9 out of 10 times, he’ll zip right by them in a perfect b-line towards the nearest electronics store. I’ve seen this happen.
Me: “Eww. Victoria Secret’s Models... They’re so skinny. How is that feminine? You can see her ribs!”
Geek Guy: “ooooooo...”
Me: “Hey!” *notices he is staring lustfully towards the computer store*
Geek Guy: “What?”
Me: “Never mind...”

10.) Although he may not want to go to every outing with you, you can arrange swaps, as in, you’ll go to his Gamer Con dressed as an elf princess if he’ll take you to the ballet. Plus, if he doesn’t want to go someplace with you, you won’t have to worry much about what he’s up to. You’ll probably come home to find him asleep on his keyboard in a sea of Mt. Dew cans with code blinking from the screen. It’s ok. He’s used to this. Just toss a blanket over him and turn out the light.

11.) His friends aren’t jerks. I can’t stress this enough. You’ll more likely get “Omg! A GIRL!! Can I see?!” than “Hey hot stuff back that ass up here and let me get some grub on...” They’re awkward geeks too and will, 9 times out of 10, treat you with the utmost respect and, more than likely, a note of awe. A cute girl picked one of their clan to date? It could happen to them! Hope! Drag some of your single girlfriends over, open up a pack of Mt. Dew, crack open the DnD set and get working. Nothing impresses geek guys more than a girl who can hack-n-slash (well ok maybe if she can code... a geek can dream).

12.) They’re rarely if ever possessive. They trust you, so you can be yourself around them. You like to walk around the house in a ratty t-shirt for comfort? He won’t care. He does too! They won’t get pissy if you don’t wear make-up or don’t want to bother primping your hair. If you gain a few pounds, they won’t try their best to make you feel like crap.

13.) They’re usually very well educated. Physics majors and the like. See #5. You won’t have to listen to him blathering on about his car (ok maybe a little), he’ll have loads of other interesting things to talk about. Politics, world events, how much the chicken burgers down at the local place rock, so long as you douse them in hot sauce...

14.) You’ll almost never have to hear, “Yaw dawg whazzap!!” plop out of their mouths. Unless it’s in jest. They spell properly, use correct punctuation, and are able to tell the difference between the toilet and the floor. They almost never get “wasted”, so you won’t have to worry about coming home to find him and his friends passed out on the floor amidst a pile of beer bottles. Mt. Dew cans, perhaps...

15.) And the final reason why geeks and nerds make great boyfriends: They actually give a damn about you. Not how you look (though that’s a plus), not how skinny you are, not how much make-up you primp yourself up with, but they like you for you. That kind of thing lasts longer than “DaMN baby you got a fine ass!!!” Believe me.

The wanderer - The lost

The one who never has a place to belong. The outcast amongst people, Wanderers find life to be rather lonely. There is an empty feeling inside of them that they can't seem to get rid of. However, not all is pain for them. Despite what others might think, they are very much capable of being happy and sad. Due to the fact that Wanderers always feel misplaced -to some extent- some adjust to how others are, just to have a place to be. The others in this category tend to shy away from people, preferring their own company, certain that they don't fit in. Both categories however, do keep most of their personal thoughts inside.

Wanderers tend to wish for a place where they are meant to be, resulting in a lot of daydreaming. Personality wise they are, in fact, dreamers. It doesn't mean they believe that they wish for will come true. Their inner world is simply better than this one. Most Wanderers try to find their special place, no matter if they are a passive-aggressive or a fearless individual. It is something they are drawn to do by nature.

Wanderers are also found to be hard to truly satisfy. Nothing will ever be the way they would have preferred/wanted it to be, and they tend to be disappointed a lot. It is not that they are perfectionists, they simply want for something to feel "right". Because of this, they often second-guess things/actions/relationships. Low self-esteem is a high possibility, as they often doubt themselves.

As their hole in their heart is constantly there, they may be prone for depression, as rarely anything is giving them true satisfaction. One day they may find their personal heaven, but it is important they are not too caught up in fantasies, or else they might pass by it blindly, missing it forever.

Chinese New Year

Its once again that time of the year, striking red colors everywhere, collecting red packets(or giving them away). So how many much you already collected so far?(or lost xD)

This year was pretty much the same, except that one of my elder cousin is finally getting married. They had the tea ceremony earlier as he may not be available later on(he's from singapore).

On the other hand, my other cousin, Alan has prepped up his GTI for the Sepang Track Day. Monstrous tuned 4g93 N/A.

Nothing much to blog, once again, I wish all my readers Gong Xi Fa Cai and have a prosperous year ahead

Issues...

Havent been blogging for the past few weeks...Lotsa stuff has happened in the first two months of 2007.

1. As for those of you who know me will know my medical condition, things seem to have been worsening. Itchiness when its hot(never had it last year). Sigh, this has deprived me of going out, walking under the sun, doing any handy-work. I have to literally sit under air-conditioned places now. With global warming, I don't think I will last much longer -_-

2. Ooity came back early this year, and he left for Melbourne day before yesterday to resume studies. It was fun, for the past month(lol, driving to his house off and on, my parents complained why I finished up the fuel so fast).

3. More people leaving the country for studies. Most of them like Ji Yang, Li Tsan, Kian Guan will be overseas. So technically I'm one of those people stuck in Malaysia.

4. Valentines Day. Nope, didn't do anything.

5. Chinese New Year is in 3 days. CNY not really there anymore. Probably because we're growing up, these things tend to become duller by the year. Too bad we can't go back to our young and ignorant days. Shopping malls, not many are decorated. New Year songs were rarely played, unlike a few years back. I'm still looking forward to see my cousins again. Collecting Ang Pow(red packets) = main priority, although I start to feel quite 'paiseh'. Its all for the Wii. *ahem*

6. Lately, been sitting at home. There are things to be done, but I dont feel like doing it. Slowly turning into an otaku/hikikomori. Ahh....I miss school days for some reason >_>

7. Selling off my ATI Radeon 9600xt. It has served me for 3 years, and its time for a change. Going for an Nvidia Geforce 7300GT which is probably 3~5 times more powerful than my current.

8. Still have a report and another re-vamped website for Sunway Lagoon. Due date is on the 4th Day of CNY(22/02/07). *hint: S.H.E is coming to Malaysia*

9. Went to Jogoya @ Starhill,KL. Uber high end place. Dinner buffet priced at RM88.00++ per person and must be paid when entering. They serve good stuff. Huge oysters and lotsa seafoods(king crab, salmon, tuna, prawns, etc,). Jumbled down lots of stuff in 2hours(they had a time limit per table).Movenpick ice cream for dessert FTW.

10.mmmmm....oreos....
